Easy to use interface good for non-technical marketers. Great collaboration tools to manage internal workflows when deploying landing pages. Custom javascript feature is pretty useful.
No HTML import makes transitioning existing landing pages to their product a bit tricky. Good customer success team that helps with this, though.
Creating multiple direct response landing pages and A/B testing them to see which one works the best.
Love the customizations and the abilities to build pages based on customizations.
I dislike the price the most - it is a little bit on the expensive side.
I am solving the website creation and development problem for clients.
As a designer I appreciate the tools that are easy to pickup and appease our analytics team to use this as a solution to landing pages. The heat-map and previewing tools are nice adds that make this a winner.
With a lot of design capabilities there are a few drawbacks like not knowing wher to look for tools or specific settings. There is also some vague guidelines about a 200k per month for visit volume, I currently have a question in about it, but it shouldn't be a problem. Overall very few complaints.
Short turnaround landing pages where tracking is needed.
I like that there are lots of templates that give you a great starting point and save a lot of time.
Very little to dislike. The one feature that seems to be missing would be the ability to copy sections of landing pages from one page to another.
For our B2B product, we are always testing and tweaking new features. Instapage allows us to adjust our landing pages instantly and create multiple version so test with different audiences.
Instapage was the best Landing Page platform I could find for someone like me who is a single Real Estate agent or small business. Takes a little time to figure out if you are not technically advanced but once you do, it is easy to navigate.
Was hoping to have the option of using an "Instapage Pro" help build me a page but that is not available. You can go to sites like fiver.com to help though to get inexpensive help.
Being able to build a better "value add" landing page than most real estate websites provide. If you can separate yourself from other landing pages, more leads will come in.
Modern templates ready to use for a variety of use cases (register to event, thank you page, etc.). Easy to setup and use. Includes conversion analytics and tracking. Can be deployed on custom subdomain to appear part of the website.
Could include more templates (although they're available to purchase on themeforest). Some elements could be editable without having to touch CSS (like form field style).
Creating marketing and sales flows with ease, creating demo request and other lead magnet pages without having to mess with the main website/CMS.
The ease of setting up a working landing page. The creative options: fonts, placement, colors—very useful. The staff are also very customer-oriented/flexible on chat & email.
Painful: Mobile side is a little quirky. Adjustments to one element have a way of jumbling other, seemingly unattached elements, as though locked in by CSS. This can be nasty surprise. Potential for a lot of clutter int he working area. Needs a pasteboard to help sort out all the containers from Desktop side. Ipad falls into neither mobile or desktop and page locations are off, requiring workarounds. Frustrating: Cost of CRM integration/webhook =$80, seems high. would like it at a lower price point $30, more connected to volume and scale. Not critical: Would like email and phone support to be a little faster—though clearly the folks who ARE eventually answering KNOW THEIR STUFF (see positives), so understandably this is a growth/$ thing. this is really more of a wish.
Leads
Simple drag and drop functionality editing an existing template.
Having to check the mobile layout again. It's fun setting up and getting the main page, but then having to fix the mobile kind of takes the wind out of the experience.
Easy supply of landing pages.
I Love how easy it is to use, professionally done templates and easy integrated with email providers such as mailchimp and constant contact to name a few.
I didn't dislike anything until they took away the free account option. I used to recommend to to a lot of my customers who were just starting up. the change could be a bit much for small business owners on a limited budget
Helping small business owners to grow their email list. This is a great product overall.
Love the ability to quickly and easily spin up a landing page for whatever is going on.
Sometimes integrating the rest of our tech stack isn't eh easiest.
Not having the ability to easily spin up landing pages.
It was quick and easy for us to create various landing pages for our campaigns. Integrations with third-party tools (such as Google Analytics) were easy to connect.
Support for connecting to GA4 was not yet available for the landing page we created. With GA4 around the corner, it would have been nicer for this integration to have been completed sooner.
It solved the problem of being able to generate landing pages quickly for our various campaigns. The need to get a page created very quickly was a requirement for us and Instapage fulfilled this requirement.
We love instapage! Seriously a game changer for all of our marketing departments. It's helped us realized that we don't need to rely on pricy designers for every business need can have full in house creative control without the hassle of long wait times from agencies.
On occasion, instapage can be slow and have a few glitches on the platform. However, the support team is always quick to respond and willing to help out with any problem that may arrise.
Instapage is solving the problem of creating beautiful and effective landing pages for various advertisements quickly and cost-effectively. This benefit is a game-changer for media buyers like myself. Previously, creating high-quality landing pages often required outsourcing to designers or using complex tools, which could be time-consuming and expensive. With Instapage, I can effortlessly design and customize landing pages that not only look stunning but also have a track record of converting well. The ease of use and intuitive drag-and-drop interface allow me to create professional landing pages in a matter of minutes, saving me valuable time and resources
Instapage has a great interface for creating landing pages. It's very easy to create an attractive and unique landing page in minutes.
What I didn't like about Instapage was that it wasn't as customizable with certain widgets. I even had to write some HTML code myself. However, that isn't a huge problem as long as you know what you are doing.
When building larger websites with many different types of pages, Instapage has come through with making the duplicating and building process very smooth and seamless.
The blocks, premade templates, and support team.
The limitations by device are super problematic. We need more flexibility with mobile vs. desktop, and sometimes the updates are buggy requiring me to go back again.
A platform that someone with no background in LP design can learn and use effectively. We've been able to test towards great results.
Very friendly support, but benefits of the tool can really be used, when the site generates a lot of traffic. We use instapage as a landing page creator for different channels, such as search, social media and cooperations. Site speed has increased significantly.
Changing parts of links behind elements like buttons could be improved, since you have to click on every element, where you use that link. Would be nice to have a centralized possibility to apply changes to links that are used across different elements. Pages with many picture open quite slow in edit mode.
Fast creation of landingpages, therefore avoiding effort in our IT-team, especially for pages that have to be created during a short time frame. Usage of global blocks also facilitate the creation of landingpages hugely.
Instapage is easy to use and has minimal learning curve.
Tracking on the page is extremely lacking as is the ability to customize or integrate the page into anything more useful.
Having a quick to build landing page that doesn't require developer involvement.
I like it for google advertising for my marketing clients. Easy and fast to switch between editing pages, Fast and smooth builder, Easy to connect domains/publish pages etc.
The basic plan limites you to 30 published pages and restricts a lot of features while sitting at a price point of 300 US while having no intermediate plans or ad ons that just let you have more pages.
It saves time and makes for an enjoyable building experience. It loads very fast and is easy to switch between pages I'm working on. Good page speed to not get punished by googles algorithms
It is very, very easy to build beautiful landingpages with an astonishing conversion rate. Our first set of pages improved conversionrate by 40%
There is no hosting in europe, so some features are not GDPR-compliant. We had to hand-code some features to run clientside to get around this. Their consultants helped.
Vastly improved conversion rate from landing pages gets us an increased ROAS in particular from SEM in our case.
What you see is what you get for most cases. It's good for anyone to jump in and draw their website and see it in action. The organization is good and having the infrastructure taken care of,
The mobile editor is somewhat finicky and the extra spacing it adds to the paragraphs and buttons.
Commenting, having the team come in and comment on each page.
- Instapage is a great, flexible landing page building tool. It really gives us the flexibility to create most content needs for our business, and we are also able to fully personalize desktop vs mobile, which is very much needed. There are very few functionalities that Instapage doesn't have (ie. carousels, sliders, accordions) that while frowned upon by the UX community sometimes ARE necessary. - Overall, we've been able to build great stuff and run some basic A/B testing, plus got some heatmap insights that allowed us to continue improving.
- Pricing: Instapage is not very transparent with pricing on their website, and we only found out real pricing after we had already invested several days building the landing pages we needed and the cost of switching to another solution were then too high. The Instapage team did not show any sympathy for the situation, nor any willingness to negotiate based on our need. We ended up having to pay a much more expensive plan than our needs required for a full year (yeah, no cancelations either), and didn't even use 10% of our plan limits. Pricing plans are "all or nothing" (they have cheap "entry" plans that are impractical), or expensive plans for larger companies. Nothing in-between for growing or medium-sized businesses. - Glitches: Some tool glitches made us waste many hours of work that got lost, and Instapage never really seemed to take responsibility. They seemed more concerned about trying to prove that it was a user error (it wasn't) than in actually fixing the problem. When we had issues adding a new team member, Instapage tech support was also useless and we ended up having to find alternative solutions ourselves. - Customer Service: Derived from the experiences above, we are not too happy with the Instapage team. Despite having one of the most solid tools in the market that has helped us a lot, Instapage is always a sour topic for us since we've always felt taken advantage of. We've never found a sympathetic person on the company that would care or be flexible to our needs. Not even ONE technical issue was ever solved or fixed by their team (we always had to find our own solutions and best practices). If I were starting from zero to select a landing page tool for a medium-sized business, based on the above I would not choose Instapage even when their tool is great.
Building landing page for our new customer acquisition efforts. The main benefit is having a flexible tool where we can quickly build pages for most of our needs and funnels. It allows us to quickly launch new campaigns
